Before submitting, we suggest reading through the FAQ's and taking a look at some of the workshops currently listed to get a sense of what we offer and the structure of our workshops.

We work on a revenue share basis with 60% for the instructor and 40% for Imprint Bookstore.
 
For that, we:

• provide a strong marketing presence; website, social media, newsletter emailed to more than 4,000 folks every other week, print brochures, and a flier on our front window.
• handle all the registration details and any interfacing with participants.

• provide a cozy, scent-free space stocked with coffee, tea, and water.

Once your workshop proposal is approved, and the dates and times are all set, send the following components in one email:

• workshop description
• author bio
• author photo

We will then put it up on the website and begin marketing it!

FAQ’s
 
How do I determine my cost of workshop?

• Anywhere between $10 - $20 per person per hour of the workshop. For example, if you hold a one-day intensive for $100 per person with 10 people, you’d make $600.

Do we offer scholarships and/or payment plans?

• Yes! It’s our mission to not let money get in the way of writing. Though, we do limit our scholarships per workshop to ensure that both the instructor and organizer are paid.

Is travel or lodging provided?

• Travel, no. Lodging, maybe. We have connections in the area but it depends on availability. We suggest factoring these two things into the price of the workshop.

Are there copying services provided at your location?

• Sorry but no. You’ll need to prepare all your copied work prior to the workshop.

Is there a lunch hour?

• Lunchtime is decided by you. Most folks opt to send everyone off on their own for an hour. Others ask participants to bring their own lunches. Option one is most favorable. We’re lucky to be situated in the middle of Water Street and are sandwiched between a number of tasty cafes and lunch spots.

What are the typical hours of workshop?

• That depends on whether you’d like to do a one-day, two-day, or weekly workshop. Most of our one-day workshops are from 10:00 - 4:00, with an hour off for lunch.
